READ-A-THON will be one of the PTA’s biggest fundraisers of the year; money raised is for our general budget, which funds our teacher grants, events and programs. One of the best advantages of the READ-A-THON, is that it allows all money collected to stay at Clark! It also provides a better tax deduction incentive for donors.
READ-A-THON packets will be sent home on 10/6. Packets contain everything your student needs to participate, including:
- Important DATES for turning in reading minutes and fundraising deadlines
- FUNDRAISING & Prize information
- PLEDGE FORM
- READING incentives & minutes log
Hello, ISD Community! Today I am excited to share my progress on the first half of my First 100 Days. So far, my work has been centered on listening and learning.
Here's a video I filmed to share a bit about how I've been inspired by our students and staff as I visited our schools and service sites.
The next 50 days of the plan are focused on engaging with you. As a part of this phase, I’d like to invite all students, families, community members and staff to a Community Forum from 5-6:30 p.m. on Oct. 20 at the Administration Building, 5150 220th Ave. S.E., Issaquah. I’ll share more about the format and topics soon.
This event will be hosted in-person only. We will have interpreters available.
Transitional Kindergarten (TK) students spend part of their day meeting different book characters in library class. On their most recent visit, they met Clifford the Big Red Dog and made a Clifford mask.

Meet Principal Christy Otley!
Hi, Shark families! My favorite part of being a principal is the learning and growing that happens among students and staff. A few fun facts about me: One of my favorite children’s books is “Lilly’s Purple Plastic Purse.” I hope to someday climb Mount Kilimanjaro, and I once filmed a commercial in the Czech Republic!
Multi-Tiered Systems of Support
MTSS is shaping the student experience at our school and throughout our district. Multi-Tiered Systems of Support, or MTSS, is a nationally recognized, evidence-based framework guiding our approach to academics, social emotional learning, behavior and attendance.
Transitional Kindergarten provides high-quality early learning experiences, prior to kindergarten, to student applicants who have completed a screening process and are in need of additional preparation to be successful in kindergarten the following year.
