Author Visits Clark

On March 28^th best-selling middle grade author Dan Gemeinhart visited Clark! Third, fourth, and fifth grade classes started off the day with an assembly where Dan shared about his experiences as an author and talked about having a growth mindset. They learned that dreams are things we want, but goals are things we work towards. He encouraged students to turn their dreams into goals and shared that he experienced 99 rejections before having his 100^th manuscript selected for publication! Later he had lunch with a couple of students from each 3^rd-5^th grade class and signed books before teaching writing workshops in fifth grade classes.
